Dear Dr. Kim, On Tuesday, the 9th, it was time to say good bye to Sheba, my great dane and faithful friend of almost 12 years. My heart was very heavy as I faced the difficult task of getting her into the back of my Jeep and preparing to say good bye. She was so weak, so big and so tired. I had no idea until the next day how much I had exerted by muscles. I will just say, it didn’t work out at my country vet’s office...

I will just say, it didn’t work out at my country vet’s office. Our thoughts of how the last moments should be simply weren’t together. So, I called my husband and told him I was going home. He said I had to go back but my heart couldn’t. I really wanted to be able to stroke Sheba’s face and talk to her as she left life and feel that she was in a peaceful state of mind. My plan had not worked and I had no idea how the day was going to end. I just knew Sheba needed to be out of pain and at rest. After getting Sheba out of the car at home, I set with her and tried to get her to drink some water. We rested together, exhausted, and I tried to think of what am I going to do. After resting, I helped Sheba stand up and she made it into the house. What am I going to do? What am I going to do? I started searching the internet and made several unsuccessful calls. Then I found you. After a short conversation at about noon, you said you could be at my house in a couple of hours. The first thing you did was give me a hug, which showed that you understood the sadness in my heart for my beloved pet. As it turned out you became an answer to my prayers and the angel that helped my say good bye. I have thought of you many times since that day. I appreciate the way you handled Sheba. I appreciate you telling me about your dad and the difficulty of saying good bye to him and feeling unable to help. I appreciate the comforting words you gave to me that I was doing the right thing. I appreciate the blessing you gave. I appreciate the caring way you covered Sheba up and tucked her big feet in before carrying her out of the house. I am amazed at the depth of mourning that I have been feeling but I am so grateful for the gift of kindness and skill you gave to Sheba, Kent and myself. I now ask that God blesses you in your work. I pray that you understand that you are a gifted and caring person who meets others at their point of need at a time when they desperately need help. Thank you taking the time to read my note and thank you for caring. I feel we are sisters of the heart. Sincerely,
Velma Crane

Dr. Kim was just absolutely wonderful to Fred in his time of need having cancer that seemed to be really aggressive and Dr. Kim made sure Fred was comfortable. The day of Fred’s sweet service when Dr. Kim arrived it was so peaceful with Fred lying in his usual spot on the couch and he passed away and it was the sweetest words I had heard for Fred and myself. I will never forget how moving the service was. Thanks Dr. Kim your are the BEST!!

My wife, Kristy Westbrook, had called you on several occasions concerning my boy boxer Opie Ray. Last Sunday at 09:20 Opie died with his head in my lap, riding in the truck for the last time. During the time of his sickness she called you on several occasions, I would like to THANK YOU for the compassion and professionalism that you showed my wife during that hard time for us. Opie was cremated on 09:20 Tuesday the 13th. We have given your number out to others that need your service, who are going through simular situations. THANK YOU
